BURSTING FRUSTRATIONS

"Woah. What's got you so worked up?" Blaine asked, stopping short just before she would have run into his chest.

"Have you seen Renly?" She stressed the urgency in her voice. "I need to talk to him."

"He hasn't been home since this morning. Why?" He crossed his arms in front of him.

"I just need to talk to him, all right? It's none of your concern," she muttered under her breath as she turned on her heel. She wasn't going to air Renly's dirty laundry out for anyone with ears to know about. Even if this was his supposed best friend.

She started to pace as she thought about what she was going to do. She was stuck waiting like a sitting duck in fear of just missing him if she went out to find him, but every minute that passed could mean that he already knew, and she wouldn't be able to make sure he was all right.

She didn't like the helpless feeling in her chest… Not one bit.

"What's wrong with her?" she heard Blaine ask. She wanted to snap at him again, but she knew that it wouldn't help anything if she did.

"Just something happened, and she needs to talk to Renly," Caspar answered. “I’m not really allowed to say. Got to be in the know and all.”

“Something serious, or just something she believes is serious?”

"I would appreciate it if you two stopped talking to me like I wasn't here," she snarled. She whipped around and faced them. They were standing near the kitchen island and leaning their heads together. Any other day, she would have been amused by the idea of Blaine gossiping with anyone, much less Caspar.

"Is it something to do with the Cantil?" Blaine questioned, not caring about Caspar’s surprised expression at his knowledge of her, since he wasn’t present either time that she had revealed her involvement with the Cantil to the others. "Did your plans not work out the way you'd like them to? Is that why you're throwing a tantrum?"

"Don't speak about it so casually!" she hissed through clenched teeth. "All of them know, but it's not something for you to just shout from the rooftops. Also, I'm not a whiny child that throws tantrums when things don't go my way. You wouldn't be joking about this either if you knew..."

"I'll be the judge of that," Blaine murmured. He leaned his elbow on the counter and rested his chin on his fist. "Now, tell me all about your troubles."

"No. Telling you anything would be absolutely infuriating. You'd only twist my words and make things worse like you were willing to do when you saw my tattoo," she argued.

"I wasn't expecting you to be so open about it," he murmured as he looked away from her to Caspar. "How did she tell you?"

Caspar rubbed the back of his neck. "Well, I've known for a little while. She helped me out of a situation, and she had to explain a lot of it to me. She told everyone else at dinner last night, which you missed.
